Clinic Roles

We are a busy clinic with many healthcare professionals working together in a team-based atmosphere to bring our patients the best quality care. Below are a few of the team roles that patients can expect to see in our clinic.

MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANTS

MOAs do their best to book appointments and answer questions. They are fully aware of confidentiality issues for patients. They may ask health questions, often at the request of the physicians. They are not able to provide medical advice.

REGISTERED NURSE IN PRACTICE

Our nurse works closely with the physicians in the clinic to support patients under the physicians care. Patients may be scheduled to see the nurse, depending on the reason for their visit and who would be the most appropriate person to provide this care.

Some appointments that might be scheduled with the nurse instead of your family doctor are: well-baby and child visits, immunizations, staple/suture removal, Pap tests, ear syringing, new patient assessments, phone advice, follow up from ER visits, cough/cold/flu assessments, chronic disease monitoring (diabetes, heart failure, COPD/emphysema, hypertension/high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke).

Practitioners

The Physicians and Nurse Practitioners at Care 4 You Medical support each other to provide same day and after hours support for each others patients for urgent care needs. This makes it easier for continuity of care, since our clinic holds the patients medical records and knows their history.

Students / Medical Residents

Care 4 You is passionate about training the next generation of our communities health care teams, and as such you may be seen by students/residents working and learning in the clinic. Our staff will ask for your consent to see a medical learner before they see you. Patients are able to refuse and this will not affect the medical care they receive in any way.
